Scheduled - Beginning at 11PM ET on Friday April 18th, HUIT will perform normal monthly maintenance on my.harvard systems. my.harvard maintenance typically concludes within 2-4 hours, however, in rare cases extended time is needed to complete the work.

Scheduled Maintenance

Network File Share Maintenance (FAS-DSFT & FAS-DSS) Apr 25, 2025 18:00-22:00 EDT

On Friday, April 25 from 6:00PM to 10:00PM, HUIT will be upgrading and re-platforming underlying storage infrastructure. Users will not be able to access files and data on network shared drives mapped to FAS-DSFT and FAS-DSS until the maintenance is complete.

Oracle e-Business Suite Annual Maintenance Apr 25, 2025 19:30 - Apr 28, 2025 07:00 EDT

On Friday April 25th at 7:30pm HUIT will be executing the annual Oracle maintenance. Effected modules will be Accounts Payable, Accounts Payable Adjustment Form for Assets, Accounts Receivable, iReceivables & Collections, Cash Management (CMRA), Chart Security Maintenance Application (CSMA), Chart of Accounts GL Validator, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, GL Posted Cost Redistribution Tool (GL-PCR), Web ADI, Web Reimbursement History Inquiry, and iPro Requisition History Inquiry.

Open OnDemand Service Interruption
Resolved - The outage affecting HUIT Open On Demand has been resolved, and users are able to login and access resources. We'll continue to closely monitor to ensure service stability.

Monitoring - Restarting the slurm controller node and altering its configuration has enabled launching interactive apps in HUIT Open OnDemand once again. HUIT will continue to monitor the service to ensure stability before resolving the Major Incident.

Identified - The service team believes they've identified a path forward. They continue working to investigate and remediate the root cause.

Investigating - When logging into https://ood.huit.harvard.edu, users are able to load the Open OnDemand dashboard, but interactive apps will not start properly. The terminal app may load, but the Slurm scheduler is unstable, and compute jobs may or may not run.

User data is unaffected, and can still be downloaded through the Open OnDemand dashboard.

FAS Academic Technology is troubleshooting this issue and working to restore this service.

Zoom - Unable to create/join new meetings
Resolved - The issue affecting Zoom meeting functionality has been resolved. Full service has been restored, and users should no longer experience any disruptions. We will continue to monitor performance.

Identified - Zoom is continuing to work on resolving the issue. At this time, users are still reporting issues creating or joining meetings.

We will continue to monitor and provide updates as we receive further information.

Update - Zoom has confirmed that this outage is impacting all Zoom customers. They are working to investigate and remediate the root cause and will update us on their progress.

In the meantime, it is recommended to use Microsoft Teams for videoconferencing.

Scheduled Electrical Out Times on Tuesday, April 15, 2025:
1. 5:00 AM - 5:30 AM: Swartz Hall, Andover Library, Center for the Study of World Religions, Jewett House, and Carriage House
2. 5:30 AM - 6:00 AM: Rockefeller Hall
3. 6:00 AM - 6:15 AM: 38 Oxford Street
4. 6:15 AM - 6:30 AM: OEB Greenhouse

The purpose of these scheduled outages is to move the main electrical service for these buildings from the CUP Station 8003 to the Northwest Station 8009.

On-premise wireless network services will be impacted by this software update to the current regional core equipment in the RIVER Region, resulting in wireless network service interruptions between 1-5 minutes at all downstream locations while work is underway.
